My recipes come from Algeria, on the Mediterranean coast of North Africa, where handmade sweets have always been at the heart of celebration, hospitality, and the table people gather around.
I make them here in Texas the same way, by hand, in small batches, using what was passed down to me.
The house keeps to four sweets on purpose. A few recipes made exceptionally well hold their craft in a way a long menu never can.
The luxury is not in the box. It is in the hands that shape every piece and the time given to every tray.
